Schengen Borders Code Art. 6(1)(e), as applied at the Belgian border: a third-country national must not be considered a threat to public policy, internal security, public health, or the international relations of any Schengen state, particularly where no refusal-of-entry alert has been issued in a national database on these grounds. There is no fixed conviction-based bar, published sentence-length threshold, or named rehabilitation period in this rule; refusal on public-policy/security grounds is a discretionary, case-by-case assessment by the border guard, alongside the separate SIS-alert check under Art. 6(1)(d).
